What to watch??

It’s Sunday night and I’m bummed because there’s nothing on TV …  Mad Men is over, Project Runway is over, and Lost  doesn’t come back on for another 3 months.  Other than The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, there are no shows that I watch on a regular basis.

Part of my problem is that I have a hard time remembering when things are on.   I’ve never been one to schedule my life around TV, so I’ve kinda missed the boat on shows like The Office and How I Met Your Mother.  I’ll watch them occasionally, but I kinda forget when they’re on and I just don’t have all the back story to go on.

So, now that fall is (allegedly) upon us, I’m looking for some new shows to watch.  I prefer to watch shows on DVD so that I can watch them whenever I want and not have to wait another week for the next batch. Right now my Netflix queue includes the last 2 seasons of The L Word and Weeds.

Any suggestions?

  1. the only thing i watch on sunday nights is entourage. i love it.

  2. I actually love the show Big Love, though you would have to watch it on DVD as well. That might work best with your schedule.

  3. Thanks for the suggestions. I actually watch Entourage On Demand and I loved the first couple of seasons of Big Love.

Has the new season of BL started already?? If so, I need to get caught up!

  4. You know, I have become addicted to TrueBlood on HBO. It’s definitely not a show for everybody, but if you can delve yourself into a good fiction storyline, it’s definitely worth it. It’s like back in the day when African Americans became desegregated with whites, only it’s about the mainstreaming of vampires into modern day life. There are people who don’t believe vamps should have people’s rights. And the people who become involved with Vampires are called “Fangbangers”. It’s kind of disturbing/intriguing/addicting all in one. And the characters are awesome!! Definitely worth checking out. I know everyone in my office at work is addicted!
