BUGS!

I think I’ve been pretty  cordial with bugs over the years.  I don’t freak out when I see them (unless they’re jumping out of my shoe),  I don’t kill them unless they’re INSIDE my house, and I generally respect that they’re part of the natural ecosystem, so I let them be.  But now, I’m soooooooooooooo over them.

In the past couple of weeks, bugs have, uh, bugged me in the following ways:

  • My dog has fleas, requiring a great deal of cleaning, laundering and spraying*
  • There are termites in my bf’s apartment (at least I think that’s what they are)
  • I think there’s a cricket colony in my backyard
  • I saw a SLUG, a locust, a wasp, and about 7 bumblebees while I was mowing.

I can’t wait for the first frost!

*note:  I realize this is small potatoes compared to what Hannah has dealt with, but STILL!

  1. I still feel your pain!!! I HATE crickets and bugs that jump. I’ve heard that fleas are awful. :(

I think that you should probably never move to Houston if humidity and bugs aren’t your thing. If the wet air didn’t get to you. . . the GIANT flying cockroaches would.

I kinda feel like I’ve survived the plagues and lived to tell about it.

  2. Ever had to deal with Cricketspiders aka. Camel Crickets? They are alien bugs that are taking over the world. It’s what I have to deal with in the shower daily!
